Chalte Chalte...
It was yet another friday night. And we went to watch the movie - 'Chalte Chalte'. Didn't expect a lot. But there were expectations for SRK, that he will get out of his 'Devdas' mood and enact something different. The movie started on a sloppy note, with the friends circle trying to explain a love story to the hamming fiancee of one of the friends. SRK has managed to enact differently, and the facial expressions were different from his earlier films. The mannerisms haven't changed, but the role's portrayal has been impressive.
The lips biting, eye brow crunching, expression of 'ohh i dont wanna miss her' were beautifully enacted by SRK. The first half of the movie is very much likeable. The self-marketing strategies of Raj mathur, are so natural and seem realistic. The 'Suno naa' number is so soothing to ears. The greece trip is also likeable. The first half itself is a movie within a movie. I initially thought that there would not be much in this film, shown what happens before marriage. The surprise was that the before-interval part totally focuses on how SRK is able to succeed in getting his love. The latter half is a normal family drama, and is not as good as saathiya. The climax at the airport is not so tolerable. And SRK hams a bit there. But he couldn't have done anything else to do there, coz the plot is not so thick. I was almost fedup of seeing Rani's face at the end of the movie. She is totally in the frame and tear jerking emotions all over. Guess this movie is gonna catch up well with the family audience. 'Prem nagari ya ki' is a song that is hummable and nice. Background score is pretty good. The most likeable song in the movie to me is the title track, 'Chalte chalte jaane kya faasale hogaye' so true...
My mom has come down to my place and I was seeing her after a long time. Spent time chatting with her.
Met granny, uncle, aunty and all..spent sometime sleeping too..So sunday was like there was no sunday. It went off in a flash and here I am on a gloomy monday morning...The work starts again..let me be mentally prepared for it.
